Situation of trade between Vietnam and Japan in 2013
06-06-2014 Vietnam export value to Japan increased continously from 2009-2013 with CAGR of 21.4%. Import value from Japan increased in three years 2009-2011, however, since 2012, the figure stucked at 11.6 billion USD. Before 2011, the trade balance Vietnam-Japan was deficit but since 2011 the positive numbers has appeared. In 2013, trade balance reached +2. In that year, the major imported goods from Japan were machines, equipment, tools and spares (25.5%). Vietnam film industry 2013
25-12-2014 In 2013, Vietnam has a total of 253 producers, including 30 state producers (12%) and 223 private producers (88%). This shows that Vietnam Film industry is attracting the private producers joining the market. Of the total number of films produced in 2013, feature films counted for  the largest proportion of 25 films (37%) and featrue documentary counted for the lowest proportion of 6 ones (8%). In the total of movies released in the year, Feature films of Vietnam and foreign hasmajority of 88% but the the average view is lower than the average view of video film series. Telecommunications revenue 2008 – 2013
17-12-2014 Telecommunications in the period 2008 – 2013 had the volatility in revenue. After years of continuous growth, revenue fell into decline period in 2011 due to the impact of the economic downturn, while revenue from mobile services decreased from 5.7 billion to 5.4 billion. Although sales rebounded in 2012 but in 2013, due to the strong development of OTT services and the policy issued to tighten management of charges and prepaid mobile subscribers, the telecom sector, internet had many changes. Participation on e-commerce activities in community 2013
11-12-2014 Survey of E-commerce and Information Technology Agency in 2013 about online shoppers indicated that 61% of them purchased items online via sales e-commerce websites, 51% bought via group-buying websites, 45% via social forums, 19% via marketplace websites and 6% via application on mobile. Female still occupied in percentage of online shoppers with 59% while male accounted 41%. The managers and office staffs were frequent online purchasers (41%). This results from the fact that they do not have much time for traditional shop due to the official working time, however, they do have time to access Internet, followed by students (37%). Number of sport medals of international competition (2002-2012)
13-08-2014  From 2002 to 2012, Vietnam gained sport medals each year of all types (gold, silver and bronze) and three scales (South East Asia, Asia and the world). In general, although there were some decreases in 2006 and 2008, the number of medals increased throughout the years. The majority of sport medals that Vietnam achieved came from South East Asia competitions. In 2012, Vietnam achieved 322 gold medals, 277 silver ones and 237 bronze ones. Among the number of gold medals, more than half of them were from South East Asia competitions; 36% came from Asia competitions; and the rest came from international sport competitions (28 medals).   Source: General

Telephone market in Vietnam 2009 – 2012
13-06-2014 From 2008 to 2012, it can be seen that there was a surge in mobile phone. Number of 2G mobile phone subscribers in 2012 was nearly 116 million people, about 1.5 times as many as that in 2009. Similarly, 3G mobile phone rose from 7 million subscribers to more than 15 million subscribers, 2.2 times although it was not until 2009 that 3G mobile phone came to exist.
